CITY GARDEN
(unbuilt)
Portland OR, 2007

This is a proposal for a 4-story mixed-use commercial and residential building in the heart of the Mississippi Avenue Conservation District with a 7,000 sq. ft. Japanese Restorative garden.  It
houses 17 condominiums and 4,700 sq. ft. of retail and office space.

Designed in response to both the historic design guidelines and as an authentic response to the present, it was approved through hearings by the Portland Historic Landmarks Commission and supported by the Boise Neighborhood Association.

The building is designed as a very efficient response to it's environment with radiant, heat pumps, onsite stormwater mitigation(and irrigation reuse) and daylighting.
